  1. THE DIRECTORATE

This is the administrative unit/engine of the Department comprising of the following sectional units.

 

  1. Legal.
  2. Accounts.
  3. Admin.
  4. Office of the Director.

This Division is responsible for day to day administration of the Department. It is also responsible for granting of final approval for physical development proposals in the FCT.

This Division is responsible for

  2. Logistics.
  3. Public Relations.
  4. Transport
  5. ICT
  6. Servicom

 

  1. BUILDING INSPECTORATE

This Division is concerned with the supervision of physical development and most importantly, granting setting-out and stage approvals.

 

  1. AMENITIES AND AESTHETICS

This Division is responsible for planning and installation of street furniture. Examples include signboards, billboards, telecommunication masts and other amenities.

 

  1. DEVELOPMENT PERMIT & ENFORCEMENT

This Division is responsible for the assessment and vetting of all building plans submitted for approvals within Districts of the South.

  • They also monitor all Southern Districts to deter the emergence of shanties and illegal settlements.
  • Carry out enforcement measures against all illegal developments.
  • Handle all complaints from the public in respect of physical development.
