Barrister Nyesom Wike CON, The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), handed over vehicles to 10 3rd Class Chiefs in Abuja. This gesture aims to improve the welfare of traditional rulers and enhance their mobility for effective service delivery.
The 3rd Class Chiefs receiving the vehicles are from the following Chiefdoms: Gomani, Yaba, Bwari, Pai, Garki, Jiwa, Wako, Rubochi, Gwargwarda, and Zuba.
During the handover ceremony, Wike explained that the provision of Nissan Semi SUVs to the traditional rulers is part of the government's efforts to facilitate their daily activities and ensure their convenience.
He expressed his belief that it is unacceptable for traditional rulers to depend on public transportation or taxis, stating that the government is determined to support their responsibilities by providing necessary logistics.
Wike emphasized the importance of mobility for traditional rulers, emphasizing that President Bola Tinubu has directed that every effort should be made to ensure their assignments are executed conveniently and without hindrances.
